ColorWise [E-Course]
Any opaque medium is appropriate for this course, such as oil paint, acrylics or gouache. Transparent mediums such as water color behave a bit differently and I do not address those qualities although many of the color theories still apply.
My central medium is oil paint, often used with cold wax. You do not need to use cold wax in this course; it just happens to be my medium.
You DO NOT NEED TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY on new art supplies. The intention is to get you to experiment with your own colors and for you to be exposed to some new colors and how you might combine them.
In terms of colors, please feel free to use what you have, but I recommend a nice selection of colors. My basic palette consists of a warm and cool of each primary. More paint colors will show up in my demo’s but my basic palette is the foundation of what I use.
Please feel free to use your own paint colors and materials in this course.
